Welcome back to school. We hope that you had a summer filled with fun, family and relaxation. The PTA is well rested and ready to go. We invite you to hold on to your hats as we start “Rounding up A Successful Year!”
This year the PTA will be focusing on getting families together for some good, old fashioned, quality time. We know that your time is valuable so we are working hard to find events and programs that will be fun and exciting for the whole family. We hope that you will take the opportunity this year to enjoy what the Turner PTA has to offer.
In order to make this year’s PTA events and programs successful, we need your help. First, we ask you to join your Turner PTA. This is the easiest way to support our school, as a portion of the membership fee comes back to Turner for programs that benefit the students. Membership forms can be found in your welcome packet, the PTA website, and the front office. Secondly, we are asking for you to volunteer. There are multiple opportunities throughout the year to get involved. Join us in making this year all that it can be. Please ask your teacher how you can get involved, or visit the PTA website to fill out a volunteer form.
The PTA strives to keep our families well informed about what is going on at school. In order to reach our entire Turner community we offer several forms of communication. As a PTA member you will automatically receive This Week at Turner - a weekly email update, and The Tiger Tribune, our monthly online newsletter. All families will also receive paper communication in the Friday Folders. The PTA website can be accessed at any time for school information and upcoming events. Our website is www.turnerpta.org.
